2HEAL Training Tool
2HEAL Training Tool
Goal: increase the number of undergraduate nursing students trained in acute care settings to address and manage social determinants of health.
Social determinants of health are conditions in the places where people live, learn, work and play that affect health and quality of life.
The Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing at Emory University received a $945,776 grant from the U.S. Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) for a program called "2HEAL" to address social determinants of health in clinical training, particularly for underserved populations in metro Atlanta, and bolster student insight into health equity and health literacy.
